JOURNALISM SEMINAR
CvSU Journalism Senior Students Conduct 15th Journalism Seminar
With the theme “IBA ‘TO: Paglalakbay sa mas malawak na mundo ng Dyornalismo,” 4th year Journalism students of Cavite State University (CvSU) Indang, Main Campus successfully conducted 15th Journalism Seminar held at university gymnasium on October 1, 2015.
Approximately, this year’s seminar has 300 plus attendees. Senior journalism students invited some professionals in the field of Journalism to talk and inspire the students with the topic given to them. They were Mr. Jefferson Caparas, news anchor from TV5, Mr. Cheeno Marlo Sayuno, an associate professor at University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), a Carlos Palanca Awardee and a former CvSU student, Ms. Evangeline Ajero, radio announcer from DZRH, also a former student of CvSU and last but not the least, Mr. Albert Magcamit, Non Linear/ FCP Editor of some GMA programs like Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho and Born To Be Wild.
In addition to that, seniors had also managed to conduct a book launch to support their batch mate named Dani Hernandez with his published book entitled “Ang Maglandi ay Di Biro.”
Meanwhile, 4th year journalism students can’t hide their happiness as they successfully held the said seminar.
“Ang sarap din sa feeling kasi worth it lahat ng efforts namin, hirap at puyat,” Sharon Fabian, one of the senior students stated.
Journalism seminar is an annual event in CvSU organized by 4th year journalism students as compliance to their requirement before graduating.
